The Rhythm Addicts
Welcome, Addicts Fans

Come on in and check out The Rhythm Addicts site. We will be posting information about the band weekly so check back whenever you can.

In 2004 while at a Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers show, Karma led Caz to meet Dr. Bill Hamilton and Lee Schwing (both of the Briefcase Blues Band). Discussions led to a resolution that a group be formed to play West Coast jump style blues. Caz took the autographed Flyers CD to another friend, Bob Carlson, who had put his drums away nearly 20 years ago. Bob immediately said “Let’s play that shit!”. Next came Billy Hendrix who had been singing with Mike and The Mix. It took little convincing to bring Billy into the fold. The final challenge was Larry Stokesberry who basically agreed to play along “to humor Caz”. After a few rehearsals and gigs, Larry was addicted. Lee unfortunately had to leave the group due to conflicts with his other band. This paved the way for John Homesley to join. John not only brings an extraordinary musical talent on the harmonica, but is a prolific writer and great spiritual presence. Larry also left the band and Rob Owen stepped in to fill the keyboard spot. Today, we are all proudly The Rhythm Addicts.
